Deirdre has practised as a Barrister for over 30 years in commercial and civil litigation, with a specialty in franchise law and franchise disputes. She is a frequent writer of articles on franchise law topics. She has lectured lectures at Auckland University on franchise law and has presented on numerous occasions to industry bodies and organisations on franchise topics. She has acted for many well-known New Zealand franchisors as well as numerous franchisees. She is a past Vice Chair and Board Member of the Franchise Association of New Zealand. She is a member of the Franchise Association legislation committee
