Increasingly, advisors are expected to have a broad knowledge of the law relating to Wills, Trusts and Relationship Property when advising parties to farm succession transactions.
A failure to understand and address these aspects can result in challenges (sometimes many years later) from disgruntled children and/or disaffected partners or invalid transactions if parties have acted contrary to their legal authority (particularly in the case of Trustees).
This practical session will offer you tips and tricks to recognise where the issues can arise and provide suggestions for how the issues can be resolved.
