Catherine Marks
Catherine has more than 20 years legal experience and specialises in administrative and regulatory law and public law litigation. She was a partner in a UK law firm specialising in local Government and Government law before returning to New Zealand in 2005. A key area of specialisation is regulatory work in the electricity, gas, telecommunications and banking sectors. Catherine's public law experience includes advice on public sector procurement and governance issues, law reform and judicial review.
Hamish Bolland
Hamish has experience across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, energy (including renewable), water, health, ports, oil and gas, tourism, commercial and residential. He advises on national and international large-scale construction projects. He advises on all stages of a project including procurement strategy, tendering and probity, contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution. A significant amount of his experience involves project finance transactions. He advises on a wide range of project procurement models including early contractor involvement and pre-construction services, build-only, design-build, full EPC/turnkey, DBO, BOOT, design, build, operate and maintain and concession arrangements.
Corin Maberly
Corin founded Maberly & Co in 2014 and leads the firm’s commercial law practice. He has 25 years’ legal experience and works across New Zealand and throughout the Pacific. Corin advises NZX-listed companies, multinationals and NZ Government agencies on projects across wide range of sectors (technology, energy, construction, health and defence). He has expertise with sourcing strategies and responses to NZ Government requests for proposals, bid management, government relations on major procurements and has significant experience running negotiations in competitive processes. Fortunate to have worked in top tier law firms in Auckland and London, Corin was also a founding partner in an international boutique law firm. He has also worked as an in-house lawyer for both listed companies and start-ups, with responsibilities across the UK, Europe, United States, Africa and Australia. Corin has been consistently ranked over the past 10 years as a leading lawyer in various legal guides including Chambers Asia Pacific, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal.
