Ingrid Taylor
Ingrid is a Partner in the Property and Commercial Team of Taylor Shaw. She is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading experts in Trust Law, providing advice to settlors, trustees and beneficiaries on trust structures, resettlements, and trust disputes. She is a professional trustee for more than 150 trusts and has significant experience advising trustees and beneficiaries with respect to their entitlements and obligations. Ingrid also has extensive experience in property law, having advised on hundreds of commercial and residential property transactions. Her property experience crosses many sectors and is complimented by succession planning advice for those businesses and the individuals involved. Ingrid regularly advises national and local businesses in relation to commercial transactions, shareholder structures and strategic considerations, and more specifically with respect to the entry and exit of shareholders. With a strong governance background, Ingrid currently sits as a government appointed board member of the Canterbury District Health Board, a board member of the Youth Hub Trust Board, and as a trustee of the St Margaret’s College Foundation. Ingrid also sits as the Convenor of a Standards Committee for the New Zealand Law Society.
Stephanie Ambler
Stephanie has specialized in family law since her admission to the bar over 21 years ago. Stephanie has expertise in relationship property, particularly in the areas of relationship property disputes and claims against estates and trusts. Stephanie advises couples on relationship property agreements, both at the commencement of a relationship and on separation. Stephanie’s other practice areas include applications for the appointment of property managers and welfare guardians, parenting orders and agreements, paternity and adoptions, child support and spousal support. Stephanie joined Tompkins Wake in 2013 and became a partner in 2014. Stephanie leads Tompkins Wake's Family Law practice and has been named as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and as a Leading Family Lawyer by Doyles in 2021.
Helen Radinovich
Helen is a senior associate in the dispute resolution team at Tompkins Wake. Helen specialises in family law, including relationship property disputes, claims against estates and trusts, spousal maintenance, contracting out and separation agreements, parenting disputes and domestic violence. Helen completed her law degree at the University of Auckland in 2012. She graduated with Law (Honours) in 2013 and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Helen is a regular contributor to the New Zealand Law Society Family Advocate, a quarterly, nationwide publication.
Bryce Williams
Bryce was admitted to the bar in 2004, following which he practiced in the areas of debt recovery, family and property law, before joining Gibson Sheat in 2009. Bryce leads the estates and elder law team at Gibson Sheat Lawyers. He handles a wide range of matters from drafting wills, enduring powers of attorney and handling retirement village transactions for individuals, to dealing with deceased estates and estate claims. Bryce has a keen interest in elder law issues including the aged care sector where he provides general advice and debt recovery services to facility operators. He also handles court applications under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 for property manager and welfare guardian appointments.
Theresa Donnelly
Theresa Donnelly graduated from Auckland University in 1992 and has over 27 years’ experience in private practice, government and in-house Legal. Theresa is currently the Legal Services Manager at Perpetual Guardian, and is a recognised Elder Law expert. Theresa is formerly from Public Trust (Team Leader) and the Ministry of Social Development, where she was lead Senior in their Public Law Team responsible for advice in relation to Older People’s Policy and the Office of Senior Citizens. She is a regular presenter and speaker for professional groups such as Legalwise, NZLS/CLE, ADLS, STEPS, CCH and other professional organisations.
