Tila Hoffman
Tila brings her 30+ years' experience as a practicing lawyer to the digital team. Tila champions the use of technology and data analytics to support change that benefits people, acting as a bridge between end users and tech specialists. Tila has legal experience in numerous areas, including banking and financial services (complex commercial and corporate transactions, property finance and project finance, supporting retail branch network and lending services), IP as well as litigation. Tila has been in private practice and in house and is admitted to practice in New Zealand and the United States of America (New Mexico and Colorado). Specialties: Workflow Automation, Contract Automation, Project Management, Legal Operations, Process Design, Transformation, Banking, IP, Regulatory Compliance, Litigation.
Matt Farrington
Matt works as both a practising lawyer and legal technologist. Matt is a proponent of "lawyer tech" - tools and technologies to help lawyers make their practices more efficient, effective and enjoyable. He is the founder of Eleven Fifteen :: 1115.studio, a technology startup developing InContext, a smart email filing tool for lawyers and other professionals. As a lawyer, Matt’s practice includes ICT contracting, intellectual property licensing, and data protection and privacy law. Prior to joining Juno Legal, he worked in private practice, the public sector, and investment banking. Matt’s clients include the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Sharesies, Coca-Cola Amatil, Z Energy, Auckland Council, Real Estate Authority, Financial Markets Authority, Victoria University, WorkSafe, Airways Corporation, NZTA, Wellington City Council, NZME, and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
Gene Turner
Gene is Managing Director of legal automation specialists LawHawk. LawHawk focus on helping lawyers and businesses to improve and automate their legal and business processes, to improve efficiency and quality. Prior to founding LawHawk in 2015, Gene was a corporate & finance partner of Buddle Findlay from 2009 until retiring from partnership in 2014. As well as acting on a number of complex transactions, Gene led a number of the firm’s knowledge management initiatives. Gene has been on the Advisory Board for the College of Law’s Centre for Legal Innovation since 2017 and is a regular contributor to the Centre’s programme. In addition to a Bcom/LLB (Hons), Gene has an MBA (Distinction) from Victoria University.
David Bushby
Having evenly split his 18-year career between law and startups, David spearheads the InCounsel mission—nourishing his boundless appetite and passion for law, technology and the future of work. David experienced the demands of private practice at King & Wood Mallesons; stretched in-house legal budgets at Macquarie Group; and as an entrepreneur, craved better access to legal expertise that didn't cost the earth. Paul Proctor
Paul has worked in the technology/automation space for more than 25 years, both in NZ and overseas.
