Presenters
Kimberly Knox
Kimberly has over ten years’ experience in commercial and property roles since being admitted to the New Zealand Bar in Auckland in 2006. She provides a wide range of advice and assistance on legal matters including commercial and property acquisitions and transactions, leasing, contracting, financing, subdivisions and development. She also provides estate planning and trust advice. Kimberly has been a contributor for the New Zealand Law Journal and a seminar presenter for the Auckland District Law Society. Kimberly is a member of the Women in Property branch of Property Council New Zealand and the Auckland District Law Society.
Des Wood
Des Wood is a barrister sole practising in Auckland. He has honours degrees in law and in history as well as mediation qualifications from Harvard Law School. His principal practice area is civil litigation especially in the law of property, contract, restitution, obligations and guarantees. His practice also extends to the law of trusts, trust structures, companies and company structures as well as to estate disputes. He is a member of the property law committee and the property disputes committee of ADLS. He was on the committee that has recently undertaken a full revision of the ADLS agreement for sale and purchase. Previously, Des ran his own commercial and property practice. Des appears frequently in the High Court and in the Court of Appeal as well as in the Supreme Court. He is often called upon to provide opinions to practitioners on all of his areas of practice. Des is a practiced presenter and has delivered a number of papers for the law society, including for both ADLS and NZLS.
Holly Hill
A commercial property expert, Holly is based in MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ Wellington office. Holly works on a range of commercial property transactions and developments, including significant residential developments across New Zealand. She regularly advises public and private sector clients on the application of various social and affordable housing policies and initiatives. Holly also has a strong interest in commercial leasing matters, along with a wealth of experience acting on property acquisition and divestment projects. She advises on a number of public and private sector client’s, providing both long-term strategic and day-to-day advice on matters arising under their national property portfolios. Her expertise also extend to building compliance issues, property aspects of M&A transactions, and property finance transactions.
Dan Williams
Dan is a Partner with Anderson Lloyd who advises on all aspects of property law, with a particular focus on assisting clients with forestry acquisitions and disposals, mixed-use developments, commercial and industrial leasing and Overseas Investment Act applications.
