The Royal Commission, in its Redress and Civil Litigation Report of September 2015, made 15 recommendations for essential law reform to ‘improve the capacity of civil litigations systems to provide justice to survivors and in a manner at least comparable to that of other injured persons’. As we approach the four-year anniversary of the Report we will:
- Explore the 15 recommendations made by the Royal Commission
- Provide an overview of the progress of States and Territories to enact the recommendations
- Identify cases considering new legislation and examine the key takeaways and lessons
