Decision Making and Reason Writing Interactive Workshop
Making decisions and providing written reasons to explain them should be undertaken carefully. Decisions need to be factually and legally defensible, and understandable to the audience.
- What are reasons for decisions?
- Structuring decisions from beginning to end
- What should and should not be discussed?
- Style and voice in decision writing
- Reading targets for your writing: reader-focused, clear decision writing: tips and traps
- Selecting and using words in sentences and paragraphs
Following the presentations there will be an interactive component, in which the presenters and delegates will dissect a decision and reconstruct it in line with the earlier presentations.
