Jodie Sangster is a data-driven marketing expert and qualified lawyer specializing in privacy and data protection. Her extensive experience spans over 20 years, including roles in the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Jodie is currently an advisor to the New Zealand Government - Department of Trade & Enterprise (NZTE). Through the NZTE Beachhead Advisory Program, Jodie provides expertise in business strategy, data, marketing and technology to NZ-based businesses looking to expand into Australia. Prior to this role, Jodie held executives roles at IBM including, Chief Marketing Officer ANZ (2020-2022), Chief Marketing Officer Singapore ( 2019-2020) and Chief Customer Officer IBM Watson Customer Engagement ( 2018-2019). Before Joining IBM, Jodie served seven years as CEO of Australia’s largest marketing association – the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) - representing and supporting over 700 companies and corporations. She has also held roles in the USA as SVP Global Development for the Direct Marketing Association and in Asia Pacific as Chief Privacy Officer for Acxiom. She holds commercial and not-for-profit non-Executive Director roles in Australia and U.K.

Matt has been with Anisimoff Legal since 2006 and manages the firm’s trade promotions practice group. She has worked in private legal practice, in-house and in risk management and brand protection roles. Peter Leonard is a Sydney based data and technology business lawyer. As principal of Data Synergies, many of his clients are data analytics services providers and business developing and implementing data driven projects and AI applications across many industry sectors. He is a part-time Professor of Practice (across the Schools of Management and Governance, and Information Systems & Technology Management) at UNSW Sydney Business School. He chairs the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA)'s Regulatory & Advocacy Working Group and the Australian Data and Insights Association (ADIA)’s Privacy Compliance Committee. He also serves on Australia’s National Data Advisory Council, and the Australian Treasury’s Consumer Data Standards Advisory Committee, and the Certification Panel for the National Farmers Federation’s Farm Data Code.
