Emma Turner
Emma leads the legal, quality and compliance teams at CareChoice - a Victorian based disability service and child and youth services provider. Emma has a varied and deep understanding of disability law with nearly 20 years post admission experience as a lawyer in various government, private legal practice and in-house counsel roles. She is a passionate advocate of human rights and seeks to ensure that her professional advice, representation and management contributes to quality outcomes for clients and the community.
Lee Davids
Lee Davids is a disability and injury management specialist providing consulting services in the Disability and Insurance sectors. For over 30 years, she has worked in both the private and public sectors, most recently as the Special Advisor to the CEO of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the government agency which delivers the NDIS. In almost 10 years in the NDIA, Lee worked on several projects including the development of the typical support packages (TSP) and the NDIA’s Service Delivery Operating Model and leading the design of the Agency's First Plan Process and the project team which conducted the 2015 NDIS Liability Review. Prior to joining the NDIA, Lee worked for QBE Insurance for over 13 years in various roles including the NSW CTP Rehabilitation Manager and the National Injury Management Advisor. Lee is an Occupational Therapist with post graduate qualifications in OHS and Ergonomics.
Vanessa Baic
Vanessa Baic is a corporate and commercial lawyer whose practice focuses on the health, aged care/retirement living and therapeutic goods sectors. Ms. Baic advises clients on a range of issues affecting the above industries including compliance with regulatory requirements, contracting, risk management, privacy, structuring and mergers and acquisitions. Her clients include some of Australia's most well known companies in the health, aged care/retirement living and therapeutic goods sectors and comprise for-profit and not-for profit entities as well as government.
