Presenters
Danny Feller SC
Danny is a leading senior counsel specialising in construction, infrastructure and insurance law. He is an experienced litigator of long standing, having been in continuous practice at the NSW bar since the date of his admission. Over that time, he has practised in a wide variety of fields and jurisdictions, including common law, equity and appellate work. He is also a mediator and is experienced in alternate dispute resolution. He has been recommended in Doyles as a Leading Construction & Infrastructure Senior Counsel. He has served as a NSW Bar Association approved arbitrator for the District and Supreme Courts. Danny also served as Head of Chambers and Chairman of the board of Edmund Barton Chambers until his recent retirement from that position.
Philip Bambagiotti
Philip Bambagiotti is a barrister and arbitration counsel based in Sydney, Australia. He has over twenty years' experience as an advocate specialising in Commercial and Construction Law matters. This experience also extends to the provision of representation in Alternative Dispute Resolution matters. He practices in all aspects of commercial law, including: contract disputes, tort disputes, Building & Construction disputes (including Home Building Act matters), Security of Payments disputes and adjudications, Arbitration law, Planning & Local Government Law, Property and Strata matters. He is the author of Building Disputes and the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) published by Thomson Reuters (with the 2nd edition in preparation), the Home Building section of the Building Service (NSW) also published by Thomson Lawbook Co, as well as National Building Service also published by Thomson, as well as various other papers.
Stan Giaouris
Stan Giaouris is the Principal Building Consultant at The Construction Adviser (TCA) and a lecturer at the University of technology Sydney (UTS) in the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building. He has a Bachelor of Building in Construction Management and Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing. Stan has 22 years of construction experience and is an active member of the Master Builders Association, currently holding the position of State Councillor and President of the St George Division. Stan and his team of experts provide litigation expert witness reports for general building and waterproofing defects, as well as remediation design, onsite Quality Assurance (QA) inspections, project management services and design development. Stan has also provided waterproof training in 2022 attended by over 400 industry participants in Sydney and Newcastle, with further training to be provided in Melbourne later in 2022.
Brienna Anderson
Brienna accepts briefs in all areas of law and is interested in a variety of areas. Prior to being called to the bar, Brienna was a Senior Associate at Dentons, and has experience in construction law, strata disputes, insurance as well as general commercial litigation. Brienna has appeared in matters in NCAT, the Local Court, District Court and the Supreme Court. Brienna is unafraid of a challenge and always has commercial interests and the best available outcome in mind for the client. Outside of the law, Brienna has a particular interest in sport and is a dog lover.
