Peter Leonard
Peter Leonard is a Sydney based data and technology business lawyer. As principal of Data Synergies, many of his clients are data analytics services providers and business developing and implementing data driven projects and AI applications. He is a part-time Professor of Practice (across the Schools of Management and Governance, and Information Systems & Technology Management) at UNSW Sydney Business School. Peter serves on the NSW Government’s Artificial Intelligence Review Committee and Information and Privacy Committee. He also serves on a number of advisory boards, including for the National Farmers’ Federation’s Farm Data Project, the UNSW Canberra Institute for Cyber Security, and the Australian Digital Marketing Association’s Regulation Group.
Joel Parsons
Joel is a media, entertainment and technology lawyer, who supports clients in advisory and litigious matters. Joel provides advice to clients in a variety of sectors in relation to privacy related matters, and has advised on privacy policies, data transfer, cyber breach response, health privacy regulation, surveillance laws and privacy policy and reform, as well as related contentious areas such as defamation. He works across core areas of law affecting media, entertainment and technology businesses such as copyright, advertising, and restrictions on publication and media regulation.

Patrick Fair is the principal of Patrick Fair Associates, an Adjunct Professor at the School of Information Technology, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University, the Chairman of the Communications Security Reference Panel at the Communications Alliance, a member of the IoT Alliance of Australia Security Workstream Member Technical Advisory Standing Committee auDA and General Advisor to and an author of LexisNexis Practical Guidance Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Privacy.
