Hayley Foster
Hayley Foster is the Chief Executive Officer of Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance), and Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and post graduate qualifications in Social Sciences, Financial Planning and Family Disputes Resolution. Hayley has over 20 years' experience working in the business, social services, health, and justice sectors and with diverse population groups across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote Australia. Hayley’s experience cuts across frontline specialist sexual and domestic violence services, family law practice, family disputes resolution, accredited behaviour change, violence prevention, policy and law reform, and organisational management. She currently holds advisory positions at the state and federal level, including the NSW Minister’s Council on Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research Sexual Assault Advisory Panel, and the Morrison Government’s Advisory Group on the successor plan to the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2021-2022.
Trudie Cameron
Trudie Cameron is the Practice Director of Criminal Law (NSW) at Armstrong Legal. This role sees her responsible for supervising and managing the New South Wales Criminal Law team in addition to running her own practice. Trudie is an accredited specialist in criminal law, practising exclusively in criminal and traffic law. Trudie appears regularly in Local and District Courts in matters ranging from sentencing, defended hearings and severity and/or conviction appeals. Trudie has appeared as an instructing solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court.
Pia Birac
Pia Birac is a senior specialist domestic violence solicitor in the Domestic Violence Unit at Legal Aid NSW. Pia has 10 years practising experience in both community and government organisations as well as experience in policy, law reform and governance work specialising in providing services to women who have experienced family and domestic violence. Prior to her current role, Pia worked at the Department of Communities and Justice on NSW in the Policy Reform and Legislation Branch, as a solicitor at Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women's Legal Service and the Women's Legal Services NSW. Pia sat on the Board of Domestic Violence NSW from 2016 to 2018. Pia is committed to improving access to justice and services for survivors of domestic and family violence.
