Sarah Hunt
Sarah Hunt is Team Leader of the Workers' Compensation department. Sarah is responsible for managing a team of solicitors and support staff who go above and beyond to assist clients obtain the compensation they are rightly entitled to. Sarah was first exposed to Plaintiff Litigation through her work as a Barrister's Assistant. She moved to a boutique law firm as a Paralegal and supported various claims across the Workers' Compensation, Public Liability and Medical Negligence fields. Sarah joined the Shine team in 2014 where her outstanding leadership qualities prompted her quick election to Team Leader.
Kim Garling
Kim Garling is the former Workers Compensation Independent Review Officer and as a long serving member of the legal profession has, throughout his distinguished career made significant contribution to law reform in New South Wales. Since his admission in 1971 he has practised in corporate law including insurance, civil liability and compensation matters. In addition, Mr Garling is a past president of both the Law Society and NSW Young Lawyers. He was an instrumental driving force in the reform of NSW Young Lawyers as a separate entity of the Law Society and in the establishment of Law Week.
Con Ktenas
Con has over 30 years of experience in litigation in every jurisdiction. He is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury, a member of a number of Law Society Committees such as the Injury Compensation Committee, the Accredited Specialist Advisory Committee and the President of the Law Society’s Commercial Arbitration panel. Con is a Local Court Arbitrator and a former District Court Arbitrator. At Stacks Goudkamp he practises in the areas of personal injury litigation including Workers Compensation, Work Injury damages, Total Permanent Disability (TPD), Occupiers Liability, Professional Negligence, Medical/Dental negligence, asbestos litigation and toxic torts litigation such as the herbicide “Roundup”.
Michael Barnes
Michael Barnes has been a partner at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers since 2013. Michael practices in the areas of personal injury, employment & industrial law. He is recognised in the profession as a leading practitioner in these practice areas and is accredited by the NSW Law Society in employment & industrial law and personal injury. He has served on a variety of committees of the Law Society, including as part of the peer review process by which solicitors become accredited specialists in employment and industrial Law.
Steve Groves
Steve commenced his legal career as an Article Clerk in Sydney in 1973. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978. In the early 1980s Steve joined Lamrocks Solicitors in Penrith and became a Partner in 1984. Steve was in the first intake of Accredited Specialists in Personal Injury Law in 1984. Steve has over 40 years legal experience, specializing in Personal Injury Law, always acting for injured Claimants.
Shane Butcher
With over 15 years’ experience in personal injury law, Shane is a Principal with Law Partners. He’s helped thousands of injured people and their families claim all the compensation they’re entitled to. Shane had been involved in a number of high-profile cases, including cases involving the victims of the Dream World disaster and the Lindt Café siege.
