Alice Spizzo
Alice Spizzo of Alice Spizzo Advisory, specialises in Planning & Environmental Law. Alice has extensive experience in government and the development industry as a lawyer, executive and senior ministerial advisor including Chief-of-Staff and Executive Director at the then NSW Department of Planning responsible for policy and legislative reform. Alice provides advice to a variety of business and government clients on planning and environmental approvals and licences, planning proposals and agreements, issues management, dispute resolution, governance and risk.
Alicia Albury
Alicia specialises in all aspects of commercial property transactions, including property-related restructuring, turnaround and insolvency matters and energy and resources land tenure issues. Alicia is highly experienced in acquisitions and disposals of real estate, regularly advising developers, owners, fund managers, investors and government authorities on industrial, commercial, retail and hotel acquisitions, disposals and development, large scale residential and ‘mixed use’ developments, industrial, commercial and ‘anchor tenant’ retail leasing, property management, joint venture and co-ownership arrangements and major infrastructure projects. Alicia has acted for a range of clients across the public and private sector.
Christopher Conolly
Christopher Conolly is a partner in at HWL Ebsworth and has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property law including agreements for lease, project development agreements, subdivisions and options. As an accredited specialist in property law Christopher regularly advises on complex property transactions such as in leasehold transactions, contaminated land, compulsory acquisitions, public positive covenants and planning agreements. His clients include government departments and authorities, aged care providers, urban and regional developers and corporations. Christopher is the author of the 'Options' section of Practical Legal Guidance by LexisNexis and, with Gary Newton, "Land Acquisitions" 7th Edition 2017.
Eli Gescheit
Eli Gescheit is an experienced urban planner with over 14 years working in various Councils and consultancies, including Waverley and Georges River Councils, and at Australia’s largest planning consultancy, Urbis. Eli knows the ins and outs of Councils, while also understanding client’s requirements. He specialises in DA approvals and property development advice. He possesses exceptional negotiating skills and appears as an expert witness before the NSW Land & Environment Court. Eli is also a sought after speaker on urban planning in NSW. He believes in sharing his wealth and has presented to numerous groups including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, property developers, property lawyers, and mum and dad investors.
Breellen Warry
Breellen Warry is a Partner within the Public Law team at Maddocks. Breellen advises both private and public sector clients across various industries on a wide range of planning, environment and government matters. Breellen also has extensive experience advising NSW State government and local councils on planning and environmental law and has worked both within and for government agencies in NSW and in the UK. Breellen has also lectured at Western Sydney University, teaching planning and environmental law and has authored Thomson Reuters' Planning and Development Law Service. Breellen has been recognised in the Doyle's Guide as a Leading Planning & Development Lawyer – New South Wales since 2020 and in the 2021 and 2022 Editions of Best Lawyers for Planning and Environmental Law.
Tim Ward
Tim has over 16 years’ experience in strategic environmental planning and development assessment for a broad range of development projects. Tim has extensive experience in all aspects of strategic land use planning and environmental impact assessment and associated legislation, with a particular expertise in industrial and infrastructure related projects including: remediation; extractive industries; manufacturing facilities; warehousing and distribution facilities; road and rail projects; waste management facilities and major utilities infrastructure. Tim also works across a wide range of greenfield and brownfield urban development projects. Tim is responsible for overseeing the preparation of industry and infrastructure related development applications, including development assessment, preparation of EISs, planning advice, compliance reviews, consistency assessments, and peer reviews. Prior to joining Ethos Urban, Tim was a senior environmental consultant at Arup, and before that an environmental planner at the Department of Planning, in the Manufacturing and Rural Industries team.
