Glen McLeod
Glen is independently recognised as one of Western Australia’s preeminent environmental and planning lawyers and has over 44 years experience in that field. After many years as a senior partner in major national and international law firms, he established Glen McLeod Legal in 2012 as an environmental and planning specialty practice. Glen is independently recognized as Pre-eminent’ in the field and his firm has been classed as ‘First Tier’ in its area by Doyles, an independent guide to the legal profession. The practice has subspecialisations in development law, valuation, land acquisitions, injurious affection compensation contamination and climate change law.
John Park
John has advised about the establishment of many Strata complexes and on numerous Strata matters including a mix of advice and contentious matters. His practice covers a variety of clients including property development and building companies, strata companies and strata proprietors. His commercial dispute resolution experience ranges from small matters through to complex appellate court matters. He is adept at advising about and conducting all litigious matters through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation in all Courts and Tribunals and has represented clients in various strata title related disputes in the Supreme and District Courts, the State Administrative Tribunal and in many private mediations and negotiations. He is a member of Strata Community Association WA (SCAWA), the Australian College of Strata Lawyers (ACSL) and a Fellow of the Australian Instituted of Management (AIM).
Shannon Davies
Shannon is Principal at Stork Davies .Shannon practises in general front-end commercial law, with a particular focus on commercial real estate transactions. He has substantial experience in acquisitions and divestments (including real estate, assets and shares), foreign investment applications, real estate developments, commercial leasing, State taxes (land tax, transfer duty and landholder duty), loan arrangements, securities, and other general property and commercial matters. He is the property law course director for the Piddington Society’s practical legal training program. In addition, Shannon currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Property Council of Australia’s Retail Management Committee, and has been recognised as a recommended lawyer in the 2020 and 2021 Doyles Guide listings of leading Western Australian property and real estate lawyers.
Donna Charlesworth
Donna Charlesworth is a Partner a Squire Patton Boggs. Donna advises owners, contractors and government in relation to construction, engineering, infrastructure and resource projects. She has an in-depth understanding of the issues relating to sophisticated commercial arrangements underpinning major projects, including PPP projects, EPC contracts, design and construct contracts, procurement and supply contracts, services agreements, facilities management agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, consortium and joint venture agreements. Donna also has experience in the preparation and review of claims and advising on disputes.
Aiden Depiazzi
Aiden Depiazzi is a Manager with Deloitte Access Economics’ Perth office, specialising in macroeconomic policy and forecasting and the economic evaluation of major infrastructure projects in the transport and resources sectors. Aiden leads Deloitte’s macroeconomic analysis for Western Australia, including as lead author of its quarterly WA Economic Outlook and annual WA State Budget note. He has been a regular presenter on COVID-19 impacts, risks, and opportunities for the Western Australian economy. Aiden studied mathematics, statistics, and economics at the University of Western Australia, graduating with first class honours. His thesis applied novel econometric methods to test the effectiveness of monetary policy in Australia
Mark Palermo
Mark is a partner at Square Patton Boggs. In Western Australia, Mark has represented clients on the acquisition and disposal of hotels (both accommodation hotels and tavern hotels) and liquor stores and has experience in new liquor licensing matters. Mark also has broad experience in real estate development, including private and civic site redevelopments and joint venture contracting. He has represented various clients on office space leasing within some of the most iconic towers across Perth’s skyline. He also acts for various borrower clients on project and corporate finance matters. Mark spent a year in Brisbane, where he assisted with the drafting, preparation, and management of leases for a new major Queensland shopping centre.
