Penny Moore
Penny Moore specialises in conducting insurance and personal injury litigation claims. With more than 20 years of experience, most of her current practice involves acting on behalf of major insurers in the areas of motor vehicle personal injuries together with some work in public liability, industrial diseases and property damage. Penny has extensive experience in the defence of catastrophic personal injury damages claims and has particular expertise in assessing claims for damages for dependency arising from fatal accidents. Penny also has experience acting as counsel at trials in the District Court of Western Australia having appeared as counsel at trial in Perth and in regional areas.
Dr Rob Guthrie
Rob Guthrie the adjunct Professor of Workers' Compensation and Workplace Laws at Curtin University and is now based at the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy. He was admitted as a legal practitioner in 1982 and was in private practice until 1989. He commenced work at Curtin in 1989. Rob is the author of the Butterworth’s/Lexis Nexis Workers Compensation Western Australia. He has published over 80 refereed journal articles. Since 2010 has been an Assessor for Criminal Injuries Compensation where he continues his interest in workers compensation, domestic violence, criminal injuries and disability law.
Michelle Antunovich
Michelle joined Trewin Norman in 2020 and following previous leadership roles at two national firms, took up a directorship from 1 July 2020. Michelle graduated from Murdoch University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Michelle was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of WA in 2009 and to the High Court of Australia in 2011. She has worked on a wide range of personal injury claims since being admitted into practice, including catastrophic injury claims, fatal accident claims, motor vehicle and workplace injury claims, public liability claims, and claims for victims of crime.
Rebecca Sorgiovanni
Rebecca is a co-director at Soul Legal which firm had its inception in 2018. Prior to that she spent 10 years as Principal at Sorgiovanni Legal. Rebecca has worked for both Plaintiff and Defendant firms in Personal Injuries and Insurance law, since being admitted in 1998. WA Branch (now known as the Australian Lawyers Alliance) as head of the Education Committee and as Branch Secretary arranging CPD events, lobbying and assisting in arranging State Conferences. Rebecca is a registered family law mediator and a believer in alternative dispute resolution. At Soul Legal Rebecca and Kevin aim to combine strong litigation skills with a client focused approach, preferring cost effective holistic solutions where possible.
Fiona Stanton
Fiona Stanton has over 25 years of broad litigation experience. As a solicitor she managed a substantial personal injury practice and developed particular expertise in medical negligence and medical disciplinary matters. She has also managed a substantial practice in employment law, acting for employers in a wide range of disputes concerning employees and contractors. Fiona is interested in all aspects of medical law and medical administration. She is a member of the Board of the South Metropolitan Health Service and a former member of the Governing Council of the North Metropolitan Health Service.
