Louise Hicks
Louise Hicks has over thirty years’ experience in the law, including six as a partner at DLA Piper. She regularly appears in the Supreme Court, at VCAT and before Ministerial Panels and Advisory Committees in planning and environment matters including restrictive covenant disputes, planning merit cases/declarations, Land Acquisition cases and Water Act claims. Since coming to the Bar 9 years ago, she has continued to develop a wide ranging practice in such matters and has gained experience in various VCAT lists including the other Civil Lists including the Owners Corporation List.
Jane Hall
Jane delivers, and provides advice in respect of, infrastructure, energy and resources, utility and city-shaping projects involving a range of environmental, planning, heritage and water law issues and regulatory approval requirements. Jane has a strong contaminated land practice, a leading water law practice, advises in respect of local government obligations and requirements, has acted on compulsory acquisitions for both acquiring authorities and interest holders, and has extensive experience in the retirement, closure, remediation and rehabilitation of thermal assets and industrial sites. Her practice encompasses all Australian jurisdictions and the Asia-Pacific region.
Gabrielle Guthrie
Gabrielle Guthrie is a leading environment and planning lawyer with 16+ years of technical and tactical experience. She is founder and Principal of Guthrie Legal, a boutique environment and planning practice that advises national corporations on environment and planning matters. She is currently Chair of the Law Institute of Victoria's Environmental Issues Committee and is Recommended in the 2021 Doyles Guide as a Leading Environment & Climate Change lawyer.
Eliza Bergin
Eliza Bergin practises in commercial, public and regulatory law. Eliza's particular expertise is in planning and environment, land valuation and compulsory acquisition.
