Renée Eglinton
Renée Eglinton is a Legal Practitioner Director at Kare Lawyers which she co-founded in 2016. Renée brings 28 years legal experience to Kare Lawyers, a plaintiff personal injuries firm operating throughout Queensland. She has practiced across all major personal injury fields including workers' compensation, Compulsory Third Party insurance, public liability and medical negligence. Her previous positions include being Special Counsel for a Queensland based insurance law firm, being the Partner responsible for a national firm’s Queensland workers compensation/workplace relations department and working in-house as a Principal Solicitor for WorkCover Queensland. These senior positions have provided Renee with an excellent understanding of what clients require of their legal representatives.
Janine Reid
With a career at WorkCover Queensland spanning 21 years, Janine Reid has been Legal Counsel at WorkCover Queensland since 2014. Reporting to CEO, her key tasks in this role include managing legal panel contracts, common law claims management strategy and customer experience design and delivery, providing legal and strategic advice to the business and Board and stakeholder management.
Carl Moseling
Carl has practised the defence of personal injury claims for workers' compensation insurers, compulsory third party motor vehicle insurers and public liability insurers for many years now. With extensive experience in personal injury litigation, he is confident with the applicable interactions between workers' compensation and CTP. Carl also advises WorkCover Queensland and self-insured workers' compensation insurers concerning statutory appeals before both the Industrial Magistrates Courts and Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. In 2012, Carl was appointed as a Principal of the Insurance team.
Anand Shah
Anand Shah joined the Queensland Bar 20 years ago after practising as a solicitor for eleven years. Anand's practice areas include personal injuries, commercial litigation, administrative law, succession, defamation, and human rights. Anand has appeared as counsel in the High Court, Queensland Court of Appeal, Federal Court and as trial counsel in all State Courts, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and many Tribunals. Anand is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and has acted as a mediator in a variety of disputes including personal injuries, commercial, professional negligence, and succession. Anand has been elected by the Queensland Bar, on many occasions, to serve on its Bar Council (the Bar's peak executive body). Anand is the Immediate Past President of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA) (Qld Branch). AALA promotes and encourages cultural diversity within the legal profession.
Jack Fairweather
Jack Fairweather acts primarily for insurance clients in public and product liability, professional indemnity and subrogated recovery matters. He provides comprehensive advice on a range of indemnity, liability, quantum and evidence issues. jack is a meticulous solicitor who has a strong understanding of the insurance industry. Jack has a particular interest in technical litigation and claims arising out of construction incidents, hotels and licensed premises, schools, sporting associations, transportation and associated indemnity implications. Jack is currently acting for a number of schools and educational institutions.
Susan Anderson
Susan Anderson enjoys a broad civil practice. Susan joined the private bar in 2003 following serving as associate to His Honour McPherson JA for two years. A good portion of her practice involves psychiatric injuries. This means she acts for clients with a wide range of claims including public liability, medical negligence, sexual abuse, workplace bullying, nervous shock and physical assault claims. Susan has undertaken extensive specialised trial and appeal advocacy training to hone her advocacy skills and facilitate the efficient administration of justice. Susan acts for plaintiffs and defendants.
Charlotte Evans
Charlotte has practised solely in compensation litigation for over 20 years. She is committed to fighting for the rights of plaintiffs and helping her clients through the legal maze, to achieve outcomes that put people back in control of their lives. She has had experience in taking a number of matters to Trial and winning hard fought cases for her clients and she does not shy away from a challenge. Charlotte strives to cut through the legal jargon to make the process understandable for her clients whilst ensuring that her clients are also kept well informed throughout their claim.
Jonathan Whiting
Jonathan Whiting studied law in both the UK and Australia before coming to live in Australia permanently in 1986. He started his own firm, Jonathan C Whiting & Associates, in February 1992 practising largely in plaintiff personal injuries. Jonathan has wide experience in a large number of personal injuries cases including workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents and medical negligence. Jonathan speaks Spanish and Portuguese and has travelled extensively in Latin America, particularly Brazil, a county he particularly enjoys.
Yvette McLaughlin
Yvette McLaughlin is an accredited specialist in personal injury law, with more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She has practised predominately in defendant insurance and has extensive knowledge of workers' compensation and personal injuries proceedings. Her experience in both formulating and complying with the strict service level standards expected by her clients, and her commitment to the continuous improvement of claims management processes, has allowed Yvette to develop and implement claims management systems to efficiently conduct personal injuries claims while at the same time adhering to clients' service level standards and the relevant legislative timeframes.
Giles Watson
Giles Watson helps law practices realise their potential through coaching consultancy and tailored professional development. He specialises in client-facing challenges such as positioning and strategy, pricing, marketing & business development, customer experience and client service. prior to setting up his own consultancy, he managed the practice management course at Queensland Law Society and was a business development manager for three London law firms.
Rob Davis
Rob was first admitted as a solicitor in both Queensland and NSW in 1979 and has worked as a barrister since 2007. Rob has served in many roles throughout his career, including; National President of the Australian Lawyers Association (2000-2001) – twice elected, Australian representative on the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Member of the initial QLS Personal Injury Specialist Accreditation Committee, QLS Professional Standards Committee, President of the Queensland Law Society (2006), Board member of the College of Law Queensland, Board member of Lexon. Rob is currently a member of the Bar Association of Queensland’s Professional Ethics Committee.

Directions
Sole entrance to the hotel from Turbot Street. The doors that lead from Central Station to the hotel will be locked and labeled “Meeting Point”, so guests will know where to start their journey.
