Linda Clarke
Linda is a barrister and NMAS mediator practising primarily in the areas of estate litigation (with an emphasis on family provision and probate) and family law. She appears regularly in the Probate and Family Provision Lists. Linda has a particular interest in claims involving the protective jurisdiction, the use and misuse of POA’s and EPOA’s, and the growing area of elder abuse.
Bede Haines
Bede Haines undertakes a diverse range of work including litigating and advising on property disputes, contractual disputes, trade practices and insolvency matters. His experience includes: representing and advising in respect of property disputes including over sale of land contracts, leases, easements, options, service of notices, contracts and property rights; advising property developers, superannuation funds, corporate trustees, large landholders and significant investors in respect of property rights and property disputes; developing strategy in respect of termination of contracts and bespoke contractual clauses to deal with matters which otherwise may often give rise to litigation; conducting a litigation in the Supreme Court, Federal Court, High Court and other courts and tribunals; providing advice in respect of trade practices issues, insolvency issues and debt issues including debt recovery.
Sam Darwish
Sam is an experienced dispute resolution and litigation lawyer, focusing on property, technology, corporate and insolvency disputes. Sam has appeared in a range of courts and tribunals and acts for public, private and government entities, including statutory authorities, government bodies, major shopping centre landlords, tenants, and property developers. While well-experienced in litigation, Sam has a strong focus on alternative dispute resolution and achieving commercial client outcomes.
Florence Mitchell
Flo Mitchell is a versatile, skilled litigator with vast experience representing clients in matters as diverse as employment law, defamation, compulsory acquisition, contested estates, tribunals of enquiry, business disputes and professional negligence cases involving solicitors and accountants. Flo is confident in leading and advising on large scale, complex matters and recently successfully represented a client in a claim for $17 million. In 2018, she acted for approximately 75 different clients who were affected by the compulsory acquisition of their property and businesses, negotiating settlements in excess of 300% of initial compensation offers made. As well as being an accredited specialist in commercial litigation, Flo is a current Committee Member of the Law Society of NSW - for Accredited specialists in Commercial Litigation.
Karen Ingram
An expert in project managing large-scale litigation, Karen Ingram specialises in complex commercial litigation and disputes, particularly Corporations Act disputes, private equity disputes and alternative dispute resolution. Using her specialised knowledge of Corporations Act disputes, Karen advises her clients on disputes over directors' duties, shareholder rights and remedies and schemes of arrangement. She is also an expert in advising private equity investors on disputes over the acquisition, disposal and daily operation of portfolio companies. Karen's particular interest in dispute resolution, such as informal negotiations, facilitation of dispute resolution procedure and structured mediations, means her clients get a practical, tailored approach to the resolution of their disputes.
Roxana Carrion
Roxana Carrion is an experienced litigator specialising in complex commercial litigation arising from contractual disputes, directors' duties, partnership and shareholder disputes and Australian Competition and Consumer Law. Roxana has played key roles in significant litigation and regulatory investigations, including class actions, and assists clients across a range of sectors. Roxana is highly regarded for her high level of client service and forward-thinking approach. She works closely with her clients to develop and implement appropriate litigation and dispute resolution strategies aligned to their commercial objectives.
Leonie Walton
Is the Registrar in Equity and the Corporations Registrar at the Supreme Court, a position she has held for a number of years. She has extensive experience in Judicial administration having held the positions of Registrar or Assistant Registrar in a number of Courts and Tribunals including Acting as the Registrar of the Land and Environment Court and Acting as the Prothonotary of the NSW Supreme Court. She is an experienced mediator and is on the Supreme Courts ADR committee. She has qualifications in Architecture and Law.
