Katie Innes
Katie Innes is an experienced corporate lawyer who regularly advises a range of private companies and individuals, insolvency practitioners, industry peak bodies, co-operatives, associations and local governments on a broad range of commercial issues. Katie is a New South Wales Law Society Accredited Specialist in Business Law. Katie works closely with clients on the establishment and commercialisations of business ventures including the associated corporate governance, business structuring and ownership, succession planning, intellectual property considerations and capital raising. Katie's recent focus has been: assisting clients to find the most suitable business structure for their new and existing businesses to increase tax effectiveness and to create a workable succession plan; assisting clients with capital raising to fund business ventures including the offer of shares, debentures, units and convertible notes; and assisting private companies with major business acquisitions and disposals including the structuring, documentation and completion of those transactions. Katie's analytical and problem solving skills enable her to provide practical advice to her clients to achieve commercial resolutions in the best interests of her clients.
Tony Sloman
Tony is the director of Passion and Purpose. P&P delivers impactful learning programs through targeted workshops and one-on-one coaching. They have created and delivered solutions for a range of organisations for eg; Department of Social Services, Network Seven, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, NSW & Qld Government, QBE, Cannon, Swaab Attorneys. Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in IT and Accountancy, a Diploma of Professional Acting, a Certificate of Organisational Coaching and a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training.
Jennifer Shaw
Jennifer is a Partner in Bartier Perry’s Dispute Resolution & Advisory team with over 20 years of experience in the legal profession. Jennifer has in depth experience in professional disciplinary matters. She acts and advises in relation to disputes across a broad range of industries including professional negligence, contract disputes, construction disputes, intellectual property disputes, family provision/estate disputes, debt recovery, winding up and bankruptcy. She is a panel member of the Law Society’s Professional Conduct Advisory Panel and she acts for and advises solicitors who are subject to disciplinary complaints, show cause events, suspensions and related proceedings. She has also acted for and advised peak professional bodies in relation to the prosecution of disciplinary matters before specialist Tribunals in NSW and the ACT.
