Gregory Heathcote
Gregory Heathcote is a barrister practising from the 8th Floor, Garfield Barwick Chambers, 53 Martin Place, Sydney. Greg was admitted to the New South Wales Bar on 9 February 1990 having been a police prosecutor in the NSW police force which he joined in 1976. He graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney in 1990. Since joining the bar Greg has continuously practised as a barrister at the private bar almost exclusively in the criminal jurisdiction. A large part of his practice is appearing in jury trials on behalf of accused persons. On a number of occasions Greg has successfully defended persons charged with committing sexual offences upon multiple complainants. The majority of his regular work is in the District and Local Courts in the Criminal Jurisdiction in all variety of matters (Trials, Plea & Sentencing and Appeals from the Local Court).
Trudie Cameron
Trudie Cameron is the Practice Director of Criminal Law (NSW) at Armstrong Legal. This role sees her responsible for supervising and managing the New South Wales Criminal Law team in addition to running her own practice. Trudie is an accredited specialist in criminal law, practising exclusively in criminal and traffic law. Trudie appears regularly in Local and District Courts in matters ranging from sentencing, defended hearings and severity and/or conviction appeals. Trudie has appeared as an instructing solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court.
Kris O’Brien
Kris joined the team at Karim + Nicol Lawyers as a Solicitor in 2021, after over a decade working across Sydney and regional NSW. Having grown up on the Northern Beaches, Kris is based in our Manly office. Kris comes to Karim + Nicol Lawyers after a number of years appearing as an advocate in the Local and Children’s Courts across Sydney and country NSW. His practice has focused predominantly on defended hearings, mental health applications, various traffic charges, license appeals and Apprehended Violence Orders. These experiences have given Kris the reputation of being a compassionate, understanding and articulate solicitor.
Teagan Naidu
Teagan is a Senior Lawyer at Hugo Law Group and practices exclusively in Traffic and Criminal Law. As an advocate, she appears in the Local and District Court on an almost daily basis. She is professional, friendly and understanding in her approach and takes great pride in providing an exceptional service to her clients. She works on a range of serious criminal law matters and is known for her ability to critically analyse complex briefs and extensive legal research skills. Teagan has regularly been ranked in the Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Criminal Law.
Jonathon Taylor
Jonathon Taylor was called to the Bar in 2004. He practices in Traffic and Criminal Law (including AVO proceedings). He is very experienced in handling all kinds of traffic matters (whether they be speeding, unlicenced driving or drink driving cases, or more serious matters such as dangerous driving causing death). He has appeared in every Court in the Sydney metropolitan area and has built up a considerable knowledge of each of the magistrates and the way they handle different cases. He has also handled a wide range of criminal matters including drug possession and supply cases, assault cases, larceny, money laundering and child pornography related offences.
