Steve Maillet
Steve Maillet is the Executive Director, Regulatory Engagement & Education at the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). Steve has worked across government and non-profit sectors, and has a strong background in communications and provider engagement. Steve holds a Master’s degree in Policy & Human Services and a Bachelor of Arts.
Jacqui Hodge
Jacqui began her VET career in 1998 when she set up her own RTO. It quickly became a respected, award-winning provider of early childhood courses. On the sale of her RTO, Jacqui was appointed as a NARA Quality Consultant and auditor, Jacqui and her team audited many VRQA registered RTO from this time until 2016. Jacqui has been an RTO consultant since 2009 and now has a wide range of clients working across Australia. She has a practical and detailed knowledge for the various standards and funding contracts that RTOs are required to meet.
Nick Galatas
Nick started at GPZ Legal as an employee and in 1996 became a partner of the firm. Experienced in commercial and other litigation, in the last 10 years he has increasingly focused on assisting Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Higher Education Providers in their respective dealings with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and State and Federal Government funding provisions. Represented RTOs and HEPs in numerous applications to the AAT and the Federal Court in review applications and appeals and in State Courts and administrative bodies in connection with funding and related contracts.
