Janene has extensive experience in estate and succession planning, trusts and superannuation, deceased estates, commercial and property law. She has worked in the estate planning area with the banking, financial and legal sectors. In addition to working with many business owners, high profile and successful individuals and families, Janene has assisted charitable and not for profit organisations with estate planning expertise and bequest programs. With qualifications in law and financial planning, together with many years working closely with accountants, financial advisers and other legal professionals, Janene brings a practical focus to these areas.
Debra Casey, Manager Advocacy Investigation and Legal, Office of the Public Advocate
Debra has carried out a number of different roles at the Office of the Public Advocate including as a guardian, senior policy officer, enduring power of guardianship implementation officer, as well as periods acting as the Public Advocate. In Debra’s current role as Manager Advocacy Investigation and Legal, she assesses referrals from community members who are concerned about people who may be experiencing neglect or abuse. Prior to working with the Office of the Public Advocate, Debra worked in the disability sector for a number of years, including positions within local government and the not for profit sector.
Margaret Sandford, Senior Solicitor, M6:8 Legal
Margaret’s legal career spans 38 years. She has practiced in wills and estate planning; probate and administration matters; commercial litigation, including Family Provision Act claims; criminal law; family law; general commercial, including leasing; sale and purchase of property and businesses; and business succession. Over the years Margaret has advised all types of clients including: individuals, partnerships, companies, family trusts, unit trusts, and small to medium sized and family businesses.

Lee-Ann is an experienced tax and succession planning lawyer. She has worked throughout Australia and the UK advising clients ranging from global financial institutions and multinational energy and resource companies to high net wealth individuals.
