Shane Nelson
Shane's first role as a lawyer was with the Policy Division of the Solicitor for the Northern Territory, followed by a role as in house lawyer with the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment in 2001, also with the Northern Territory Government. In early 2008 Shane secured a temporary appointment as the Deputy Commissioner of Titles at Landgate, an independent statutory position with the Western Australian Government. In 2010 he was permanently appointed to this role by the Governor of Western Australia. For the past 10 years Shane has been worked at the Office of the Commissioner of Titles and provided Legal advice to Landgate on some of the finer points of real property law in Western Australia.
Jolene Ashworth
Jolene is the Principal Solicitor of Philipoff Legal. Established in January 2015, Philipoff Legal is the brain child of Vicki Philipoff of Vicki Philipoff Settlements to enhance the client service capabilities of Vicki Philipoff Settlements by providing their clients with accessible legal services. Jolene has practice predominately in generalist firms since her admission in 2007 but have been involved in predominately Property, Commercial and Estate Planning work and has garnered experience in Contract, Land, Trusts, Superannuation, Leases, Wills, Administration of Deceased Estates, Sale of Real Estate and Settlements, Settlement of Real Estate and Business, Retail Centre and Commercial Leasing.
Peter Beekink
Peter is an internationally recognised lawyer practising in property law in Australia. Peter has represented the state of Western Australia and a number of its departments in significant land development projects in Western Australia. These projects have resulted in the delivery of some of Perth’s best known residential suburbs. Peter is the Western Australian editor of Thomson Reuters Retail Leasing in Australia. He is also on the editorial panel for the Australian Property Law Bulletin, his articles on real estate law are published throughout Australia.
Tim Houweling
Tim is a Partner at Cornerstone Legal and Adjunct Professor of Law at Murdoch University and lectures in Ethics. Tim has primarily practiced law involving Town Planning, Environmental Law, Native Title, Land Compensation matters, and Local Government Law in Supreme Court and the State Administrative Tribunal.
