Kevin Wong
Kevin Wong started his career in helping injured victims in his undergraduate days whilst he was working part-time with the firm later known as D'Angelo and Partners. He continued working for the same firm after graduation in 1991, and in 1999 joined Friedman Lurie Singh. He became a partner in Friedman Lurie Singh in 2002, which subsequently bought over D'Angelo and Partners to form the merged firm Friedman Lurie Singh and D'Angelo. At the end of 2017, he retired from this firm, and with Rebecca Sorgiovanni, launched the new firm SOUL LEGAL in 2018. Kevin finds pride in doing the very best for his injured clients.
David Burton
David Burton practised as a Barrister at the Cape Town Bar in civil and criminal litigation, before immigrating to Perth in 1986. David is a founding partner of SRB Legal established in 1999. David is a highly experienced mediator, having settled thousands of personal injury claims for insurers and self-insureds, but is also an experienced trial Counsel, regularly appearing as SRB Legal’s in-house Counsel. David is widely regarded as a leading practitioner in personal injury, CTP and catastrophic injury claims in Western Australia. He is recognised in Doyle’s Guide in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 as a preeminent lawyer in his field.
Neil Morrissey
Neil’s practice is predominantly in the area of civil litigation with a focus on personal injuries cases. Prior to joining the independent bar he was a solicitor at Bradford & Co. In 2013 Neil completed a Master of Laws at the University of Western Australia with his primary research area being negligence liability. He has appeared on behalf of clients at WorkCover WA, the State Administrative Tribunal, the Fair Work Commission, the Western Australian Industrial Relations Tribunal, the Australian Administrative Tribunal, the District and Magistrates Courts, the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
John-Paul Wilson
John-Paul Wilson is a Principal of Gilchrist Connell, and has practised in the area of insurance law and litigation almost exclusively since commencing Articles in 1992. He has more than 25 years' experience in acting for insurers, self-insured, and insured in the defence of workers' compensation claims, employers' indemnity claims, public and product liability claims, property damage claims and others. He is the co-author of the most recent update of the 'Workers Compensation - Western Australia' chapter of Halsburys Laws of Australia. In the most recent Doyle's Guide he was listed as a Leading Workers Compensation Lawyer and Recommended Dust Diseases Lawyer.
Roger Sands
Roger commenced his legal practice as a general practioner, gaining experience in many areas of the law. He developed a speciality in personal injury, insurance, compensation and litigation. Roger was a founding partner of law firm Marks and Sands and subsequently he was the managing partner and consultant for the national law firm Sparke Helmore in their Perth Office. Roger recently set up his own barristers chambers, known as Arundel Chambers, practicing in personal injury, insurance, compensation and litigation. Roger was acknowledged as one of WA’s best personal injury litigation lawyers in the 2020 Australian Best Lawyer Awards.
