Olivia Grobtuch
Olivia Grobtuch is a founding partner of Kennedy Partners, one of Doyles Guide "top tier" Melbourne firms. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. Olivia has been practising in family law for over 30 years. She obtained her accreditation as a family law specialist in 1990 and has been a member of various committees of the Law Institute of Victoria including sub-committees dealing with family law reform.
Paul Fildes
Paul Fildes is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and has been practising in family law since 1983. He has been ranked as one of only nine lawyers in Australia and one of only seven in Melbourne as Preeminent by Doyle's Guide 2020. Paul Fildes was previously the head of Middletons’ Family Law Practice Group (now K & L Gates), which he merged with Taussig Cherrie & Associates in 2010, to become Taussig Cherrie Fildes. Paul specialises in large scale family law property litigation, complex Financial Agreements, defacto property cases and restructuring family property in a tax effective manner.
Peter Szabo
Peter Szabo is an acknowledged leader among Family Lawyers, Innovative and a trail blazer, he was involved in leading cases such as Ascot Investments v Harper (third party rights) and In Re K (appointment of ICL’s in parenting cases). He was instrumental in the establishment of Specialist Accreditation in Family law. He remains involved as the current Chair of CLE for Accredited Specialists. His main focus now on the interaction between Family Law, asset protection and succession planning. He is a strong believer in sharing the knowledge.
Dr Robin Smith
Robin joined the Victorian Bar in 2009, and practices exclusively in family law and its associated jurisdictions. He specialises in family law matters with complex questions of law, including matters with issues related to bankruptcy, equity, trusts, and third party disputes. Robin regularly provides detailed written advice and appears in court for pre-trial hearings, final hearings, and appeals. He also accepts briefs to draw or settle financial agreements and child support agreements. Prior to coming to the bar, Robin was an associate at the Federal Magistrates Court and a solicitor in a boutique commercial and construction law firm, practicing in both litigious and non-litigious matters.
Justine Clark
Justine Clark is an experienced and formidable family lawyer, and an accredited family law specialist. Trained by Michael Taussig QC, after working as a legal associate to His Honour Justice Hugh Fraser QC of the Queensland Court of Appeal, then to the Honourable Peter Young QC and the Honourable Paul Cronin of the Family Court of Australia, Melbourne, she is highly skilled in running complex family law matters, has an extensive and precise understanding of all aspects of family law and the operation of the Family Law Courts.
Lee Formica
Lee is an accredited family law specialist. She is a highly effective negotiator and litigator. Her focus is on resolving matters expeditiously and in a skilled and considered manner, bearing in mind the family nuances and dynamics of each case. Lee has over 30 years specialist experience in family and de facto relationship law disputes. Lee's background and experience has given her a strong understanding of and ability to deal with the myriad issues pertaining to family law.
