Antonella Sanderson
Founder and Principal Solicitor / Director of Family Law Matters, Antonella has been dedicated to focusing her career in Family Law since University days, having completed Family Law and Advanced Family Law as part of her degree, and undertaking an Honours thesis on the topic of parenting matters in the context of family violence. Working in the legal industry since commencing her law degree in 1994, Antonella has worked predominantly in Family Law since 1997. Being the fastidious type, Antonella enjoys assisting clients with complex property challenges such as multiple corporate and trust entities, superannuation splitting and asset protection with Binding Financial Agreements.
Sarah Bevan
Sarah Bevan was admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales in 1999. She established Sarah Bevan Family Lawyers in 2002, which has grown significantly from a single person it was initially. Sarah has always practised exclusively in all aspects of family law, including niche areas such as surrogacy, complex international matters, and providing expert evidence for overseas jurisdictions in Hague Convention matters. Sarah obtained her Family Law Specialist Accreditation in 2005 and was accredited as an Arbitrator in 2008. In 2007, Sarah undertook Collaborative law practice training to provide her clients with alternative dispute resolution processes and encourage effective settlement negotiations.
Glenn Thompson OAM
Glenn Thompson is an accredited specialist in Family Law who is a Partner of the firm Newnhams Solicitors. Glenn has specialised in Family Law for 35 years, is the Chair of the Specialist Accreditation Board in Family Law for NSW, a current member of the Family Law Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales, a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and is on the Steering Committee of the Greater Sydney Family Law Pathways Network having been in the chair for 12 years. Glenn is also a member of College of Law Family Law Advisory Committee, and is an Adjunct Lecturer, Master of Laws (Applied Law) at the College of Law.
Jason Katsikaris
Jason Katsikaris is an accredited specialist in family law and has practiced exclusively in family law since his admission in 2001. Jason last presented at the National Family Law Conference in Brisbane. He is a volunteer solicitor at the Inner-City Legal Centre in Kings Cross and he is a family dispute resolution practitioner. Fun Fact: Jason is a conductor and regularly performed in prestigious halls across Europe and the United Kingdom, including the Royal Albert Hall and Symphony Hall.
Rebecca Keys
Rebecca Keys has practiced exclusively in family law since her admission. Rebecca has a broad range of experience in both parenting and financial matters. She has represented clients with substantial assets and complex company and trust structures. Rebecca and Jason have been working together for 5 years now. They are inseparable. Fun fact: Rebecca lives and breathes all things tax.
Sharna Clemmett
Sharna Clemmett balances a resolute awareness of the needs of clients and instructing solicitors with her ultimate remit; to provide consistently outstanding verbal and written advocacy, technical advice, and case leadership. Sharna was called to the Bar in 2012. She has since developed a strong practice in Commercial Law, Equity, Wills and Estates, Property, Consumer Law, Proceeds of Crime and Insolvency.
Neil Jackson
As a family law specialist, Neil has particular expertise in property and child-related disputes. The depth of his practice also extends to expert knowledge in the law relating to de facto relationships. Neil maintains a strong advisory practice and regularly appears in the Family Court of Australia, Family Circuit Court and in appellate courts for a broad range of clients, including the Independent Children’s Lawyer. The breadth of his practice has also seen him appear in Family Law Court Registries outside Sydney, including Townsville, Brisbane, Parramatta, Newcastle, Canberra and interstate, such as Melbourne and Perth. He has been appointed Mediator of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and has participated in hundreds of mediations and conciliation conferences throughout his legal career.
Susan Warda
Susan Warda is team leader of the Sydney family law practice. Susan has particular expertise in family law matters that involve complex financial issues, including property settlements that incorporate family businesses, multiple assets and superannuation splitting. Susan is an accredited specialist in family law, and was named 2013 Woman Lawyer of the Year in Private Practice by the Women Lawyers Association of NSW. Susan has been endorsed as a Leading Family Lawyer (High-Value & Complex Property Matters) in Doyle’s Guide 2018, as well as a Recommended Sydney Family & Divorce Lawyer in Doyle’s Guide 2019. She has also been named as a Recommended Family Lawyer (Sydney) by Best Lawyers in their 2019 and 2020 list.
Monique Robb
Monique is an accredited specialist in family law. Monique has acted for clients in all areas of family law, including parenting (custody) and property matters, child support, spouse maintenance and financial agreements (including pre-nuptial agreements). Monique became an accredited specialist in family law in 2015, and additionally has completed a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney, with a focus on family law and areas of law affecting children. Monique has been named as a Rising Star in family law in Doyle's Guide. She is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Paul Lewis
Paul Lewis is a Partner in our Private Clients Group, specialising in Family & Relationship Law. He is a leading family and relationship law practitioner, and a nationally accredited mediator. Paul is also accredited by the NSW Law Society as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law (since 1999) and Dispute Resolution (since 2013). Highly regarded for his technical proficiency and commitment to client care, Paul has expertise across the many areas of family and relationship law.
Professor Ian Hickie AM
Professor Ian Hickie is Co-Director, Health and Policy at The University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre. He is an NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow (2013-2017 and 2018-22), having previously been one of the inaugural NHMRC Australian Fellows (2008-12). He was an inaugural Commissioner on Australia’s National Mental Health Commission (2012-18) overseeing enhanced accountability for mental health reform and suicide prevention. He is an internationally renowned researcher in clinical psychiatry, with particular reference to medical aspects of common mood disorders, depression and bipolar disorder. He is now focused on the development of real-time personalized and measurement-based care systems for use in partnership with young people and their families.
