Josephine Pignataro, Solicitor, Josephine Pignataro
Josephine was admitted as a solicitor in 2003. Her wills and estates practice includes estate planning, contested and uncontested grants of representation, estate litigation and advice work on a range of estate issues. She acted in the first successful statutory will case in New South Wales, reported in Re Fenwick; Application of JR Fenwick; Re Charles (2009) 76 NSWLR 22. Josephine has a Masters of Laws from UNSW and is an adjunct lecturer for the College of Law in the Applied Masters of Law (Wills and Estates) program.
Marie Brownell, National Manager Estate Planning, Equity Trustees
Marie has over 17 years’ experience in administering and advising clients on estates and trusts matters including duties, rights and responsibilities of executors, trustees and beneficiaries. She works directly with brokers, financial planners, accountants and individuals in providing expert, tailored advice on all aspects of estate planning and estate and trust matters. Since 2009, she has been lecturing at University of Western Sydney on Planning for Retirement as part of the Masters degree in Financial Planning. She also lectures at the College of Law in the unit Complex Issues in Estate Administration as part of the Masters of Applied Law (Wills and Estates).
