The Honourable Victor Dominello
Victor Dominello was elected to the New South Wales Parliament as Member for Ryde at a by-election in October 2008. He was made a Minister following the 2011 State Election.
Victor Dominello is a senior Minister in the New South Wales State Government and has held various portfolios over 8 years including Aboriginal Affairs, Better Regulation and Finance. He has been appointed the inaugural Minister for Customer Service. The first of its kind in the country,this ministry aims to put the customer and citizen first in the design of all government services.
The Honourable Justice Gerard Phillips
Judge Gerard Phillips was appointed as President of the Workers Compensation Commission of New South Wales and judge on the New South Wales District Court bench on 23 January 2019. Prior to these appointments, Judge Phillips enjoyed over 30 years’ of legal experience as a solicitor and was consistently recognised as one of Australia’s top industrial lawyers in the Chambers Asia-Pacific legal directory. Judge Phillips was a partner at the global private law firm K&L Gates and was a Board Member between 2011 and 2017. Judge Phillips has acted for hundreds of clients, predominantly in the construction, mining and electricity industries, and was one of the few lawyers who has both prosecuted and defended work health and safety matters.
Belinda Cassidy
Belinda Cassidy is Special Counsel in the Stacks Goudkamp. She has over 30 years of personal injury knowledge and experience and is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law. Before joining Stacks Goudkamp, Belinda worked for 18 years as the Principal Claims Assessor of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (formerly the Motor Accidents Authority). As the Principal Claims Assessor, Belinda established and developed a highly regarded dispute resolution service for people injured in motor vehicle accidents in NSW. She has published numerous articles on personal injury and insurance law in the Law Society of NSW Journal.
Tim Concannon
Tim joined Carroll & O'Dea Lawyers in 1994 and became a partner in 2001. Tim has been a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law since 2000 and an Assessor with the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service (CARS) since 2004. Tim has also been a member of the Law Society's Injury Compensation Committee since 2008 and was appointed Deputy Chair of this Committee in 2020. He has played a leading role in drafting submissions to government agencies relevant to various areas of personal injury law and appeared on behalf of the Law Society at a number of government inquiries into the functioning of the workers compensation and motor accident schemes.
Ian Jones
Ian Jones is a Partner in Curwoods Lawyers' compulsory third party teamWith over 20 years' experience, Ian has acted for all of the CTP insurers in NSW and CTP insurers in the ACT and Queensland advising on a variety of complex motor vehicle insurance claims. Ian is also a committee member of the Law Society of New South Wales' Injury Compensation Committee. Using his industry experience and expertise, Ian's involvement in the Committee has seen him consult with the NSW Government's CTP reform reference panel in relation to the proposed CTP reform in NSW as well as draft submissions on behalf of the Law Society of New South Wales.
