Alice Spizzo
Alice has built a strong reputation for frank, strategic advice to businesses, NSW Government agencies, consultants and organisations across a wide range of planning and environmental matters. Alice’s expertise and knowledge of the NSW planning system is underpinned by her experience in government and the development industry as a lawyer, senior Ministerial adviser (including Chief-of-Staff) and as Executive Director of the NSW Department of Planning responsible for legislation and policy reform.
Breellen Warry
Breellen Warry is a Partner within the Planning, Property and Development team at Holding Redlich and leads the planning and environmental practice in Sydney. Breellen advises both private and public sector clients across various industries on a wide range of planning, environment and government matters. Breellen has extensive experience advising NSW State government and local councils on planning and environmental law and has worked both within and for government agencies in NSW and in the UK. Breellen also lectures at Western Sydney University where she teaches planning and environmental law and, together with her team, is the author of Thomson’s Planning and Development Law Service.
Robert Wilcher
Robert has worked with both government and private sector clients for more than 29 years with a principal focus on land development. He can provide legal services on issues such as land acquisition, project implementation and structuring, general planning law, development levies, land valuation and compulsory acquisition, contaminated land issues, biodiversity conservation, pollution, Indigenous and European heritage and environmental protection licensing. He has negotiated and drafted voluntary planning agreements for large residential and industrial subdivisions across NSW for private clients and the NSW Minister for Planning and has managed the divestment of contaminated properties Australia-wide for international corporate groups.
Christine Jones
Christine is a disputes partner in the Construction & Infrastructure Group with more than 15 years’ experience as a construction and commercial litigator. Christine acts in disputes across residential, commercial and infrastructure asset classes. Christine is the editor of Holding Redlich’s fortnightly newsletter for professionals in the residential building sector in NSW, Residential Focus. As the panel relationship partner (alternate) for the NSW Government practice, Christine has an overview of the firm's NSW government practice and coordinates conflicts compliance and reporting.
Peter Holt
Peter is a special counsel in Holding Redlich’s planning and environment team and an Accredited Specialist in Planning and Local Government law. Peter is a highly respected and influential thought leader on environmental, planning and building matters in New South Wales. Peter regularly acts for private developers, accredited certifiers, councils and NSW State government agencies. Peter has over ten years’ experience working on policy development and the implementation of innovative legislative reform initiatives. This includes being responsible for the policy and legal framework behind the New South Wales Government’s ePlanning program; overseeing the expansion of the BASIX certification scheme; and the preparation of parts of the Planning Bill 2013 relating to development contributions and building and subdivision
