Presenters
Peter Mitchell is a partner in MinterEllison's property group. He joined the firm in 2003 following two years as a property lawyer at New Zealand law firm, Bell Gully. Peter has experience in a broad range of legal property issues with particular emphasis on leasing (with a combination of commercial, retail and industrial experience for a number of major clients with national portfolios), acquisitions and disposals. Peter has co-written articles on retail tenancy law for the Australian Property Law Bulletin and presented to a number of organisations including Legalwise Seminars and the Property Council of Australia in respect of tenancy law.
Kristen Giansalvo is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution group at MinterEllison. He has particular experience in banking and insolvency disputes, leasing and property disputes, and general commercial litigation. He has acted for clients (including landlords) in a broad range of commercial, insolvency and leasing dispute matters in the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Federal Court of Australia, and VCAT. Kristen also has experience in Royal Commissions and ASIC investigations. Between May 2014 and December 2014, he was a member of the Solicitors Assisting team at the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption.
